On April 26 from 5-7 p.m., the Whitefish Lake Institute will be hosting the Science Quencher event at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. This engaging and informative gathering will feature local scientists discussing topics such as fish, sheep, owls, and rivers. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with experts in the field of natural resources and conservation.

The lineup of speakers includes Sam Bourret, a fisheries biologist with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks; Carol Treadwell, finance and grants manager for Whitefish Lake Institute and chief wool handler at Steitzhof Merinos; Denver Holt, founder and president of The Owl Research Institute; and Dakota Whitman, a fluvial geomorphologist with River Design Group. Each speaker brings their passion for their work to the table and will educate attendees on various issues related to the environment.

According to Durae Belcer, program coordinator at the Whitefish Lake Institute, the Science Quencher is a fun local gathering where attendees can learn something new from passionate presenters. The presentations will be in a “lightning round” format, with each speaker given 10-15 minutes to present followed by a question and answer session.
