Savie Health, a free medical clinic in Lompoc, recently announced the expansion of its health, behavioral health, and vision care services. The clinic will now offer Spanish-speaking women’s health groups and grief therapy through a partnership with Hospice of Santa Barbara.

The clinic made this decision after data showed an increase in depression rates and an average income of just $22,000 for a family of four. To better serve its community, Savie Health is transitioning to become a Community Clinic that accepts Medi-Cal, with a focus on serving underserved individuals who may not have proper insurance.

To assist with this transition, the clinic has added a part-time patient advocate to help with Medi-Cal enrollment, outreach events, and patient requests for accompaniment during visits. The clinic’s vision program has been providing services to those without vision insurance every other Friday since the beginning of 2024.

In addition to expanding its services, Savie Health is also working on nutritional classes in Spanish for diabetic patients. These classes will provide patients with the opportunity to learn about the benefits of a healthier diet through classes at the clinic.

As the clinic continues to grow, it will also offer additional services such as women’s health services, COVID and MPox vaccinations, free medication provision, cortisone injections, and telehealth. For more information about Savie Health and its services, visit the clinic’s website.
