Croatia’s State Institute of Statistics has released data revealing that there was a four percent increase in the number of registered road vehicles in the country last year. This equated to 2,554,524 vehicles on Croatian roads in 2023, compared to 2,503,749 in 2022.
Among these vehicles, there were 1,910,131 registered passenger vehicles, representing a three percent increase from the previous year. Additionally, there were 190,063 new registrations for road vehicles, marking a growth of 28.6 percent compared to 2022.
The number of motorcycles on Croatian roads saw an impressive increase of 12,003 units or 42.3 percent last year. This brought the total number of motorcycles to 101,515. In terms of trucks and buses, there were also significant increases in first-time registrations. Trucks saw a 36.6 percent increase with an additional 19,455 registrations last year while buses saw a decrease of 2.5 percent with a total of only 5799 new registrations last year.
