Cosber Technology, a prominent manufacturer of vehicle testing equipment, has received three certificates from TÜV SÜD. In addition to their work in vehicle testing equipment, Cosber also focuses on developing innovative solutions for sustainable and secure energy supplies. One of their latest creations is the Smart H2 Energy Platform, which offers a comprehensive solution for self-sufficient energy supply using hydrogen for buildings.

The key components of the platform are the Hydrogen Power Cubes (HPC), which consist of an AEM electrolyser, a hydrogen storage unit, a fuel cell power generation system, a power inverter system, and a heat exchange system. When combined with photovoltaic or wind energy systems, HPCs can meet all the energy needs of buildings using renewable energy and hydrogen.

Cosber had proactively considered regulatory requirements during the development of the H2 Energy platform and the HPCs. The HPCs had to meet regulations such as Machinery Directive 2023/1230, Pressure Equipment Directive 2024/68/EU and EMC Directive 2014/30/EU for electromagnetic compatibility. After successful testing by TÜV SÜD Korea’s Head of Industry Service Dr. Helge Knobbe recognized that meeting these requirements presented challenges due to the many components involved in the HPCs. However, TÜV SÜD presented Safety Risk Assessment Reports and certificates for the HPC-1000 Plus and HPC-3000 Plus to Cosber Technology following successful testing.

TÜV SÜD’s expertise in hydrogen technologies supports the entire H2 value chain from production to application in various sectors such as transportation and construction industries. For more information about TÜV SÜD or Cosber Technology’s Smart H2 Energy Platform visit their respective websites.

In summary, Cosber Technology has received certificates from TUV SUD for their Smart H2 Energy Platform that uses hydrogen for buildings’ self-sufficient energy supply using renewable energy sources like solar or wind power. The key components include Hydrogen Power Cubes (HPC) that consist of several parts including an AEM electrolyser, a hydrogen storage unit, a fuel cell power generation system, a power inverter system and a heat exchange system that can meet all building energy needs when combined with photovoltaic or wind systems. The certification process was smooth due to cosber proactively considering regulatory requirements during development stage making it faster than usual
