The ‘EXPAND’ accelerator program is designed for startups in the early stages of their journey in fields such as robotics, materials, construction, food, and health technologies. These startups are interested in exploring how their developments could be useful for space missions while also creating opportunities for growth and recognition in the national market.
The program has already opened its doors to registration on April 15th, and selected ventures will take part in an opening event in Mitzpe Ramon about a month and a half later. The accelerator is a partnership between the TECH-7 innovation community and with support from the Jewish National Fund USA and CreationsVC. The program provides startups with mentoring, business support, and professional workshops from experts in the space industry.
Dr. Rui Naor leads Creation-Space, an accelerator that aims to tap into Israel’s potential to contribute to space exploration and sustainable living on Earth. The program seeks to push startups to develop solutions for space missions and address challenges related to the climate crisis. Dr. Naor envisions the program as a way to propel start-ups to create innovative solutions and move towards a new future.
Creation-Space has been operating for six months now and has already made investments in several Israeli start-up companies. One of these companies is Alumentry, which focuses on developing technology for producing aluminum components with precision both on Earth and in space.
