Isospec Analytics has secured $1.9M in funding to bring new technologies to market that can quickly identify unknown molecules. The technology developed by Isospec is able to rapidly identify unknown molecules in just minutes, significantly speeding up the molecular analysis process.

Current methods for identifying unknown molecules rely primarily on mass analysis, which may not always provide enough information for accurate identification. Isospec’s technology generates detailed metrics that make it much easier to definitively identify unknown molecules, improving the accuracy and efficiency of the analysis process.

The round of funding for Isospec was led by Founderful (formerly Wingman Ventures), with additional support from investors Tiny.vc, another.vc, and Venture Kick. The breakthrough technology developed by Isospec originated from the Laboratory of Molecular Physical Chemistry at EPFL and is already being used in industries such as food and agritech for quality control and product research and development.

Failure to accurately identify molecules can lead to regulatory issues or potential harm to consumers, making this advancement crucial in the development of drugs, nutritional products, and pesticides. By providing rapid and accurate molecular identification, Isospec’s technology is revolutionizing the way unknown molecules are analyzed and identified.
