Google recently rebranded its ‘Nearby Share’ feature to ‘Quick Share’. This feature is available on Windows, ChromeOS, and Android devices, allowing users to quickly share documents, images, videos, and more between phones, desktops, and tablets. One of the key advantages of Quick Share is that it works without the need for an internet connection.

To access Quick Share on an Android device, simply go to the ‘Settings’ app and scroll down to Google. Tap on ‘Quick Share’ if you’re unsure how to use it to share files with friends or family. Here’s a simple guide to get you started:

To use Quick Share for sharing files on Android:

1. Open the image, file or link you want to share and tap on the ‘Share’ button within the app.

2. Select the ‘Quick Share’ option which will display a list of nearby devices.

3. If you don’t see the device you want to share with, access the three-dot menu in the top right corner and navigate to ‘Settings’.

4. Enable ‘Visible to nearby devices’ setting in ‘Who can share with you’ section.

5. Select the device you want to share with and prompt the receiver to accept the file.

6. If you are sending it to your own device then content will be transferred automatically
