Venezuelans living in Argentina have reached out to Pope Francis for help in ensuring that all Venezuelans living abroad have the right to vote in the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for July 28th. They sent a letter to the Vatican through the Jesuit Migrant Service, asking for the pontiff’s intervention with the dictator Nicolás Maduro. The letter expresses gratitude for the pope’s efforts and calls for the human and constitutional rights of Venezuelans to be respected.

The appeal aims to increase pressure on Maduro’s government to fulfill electoral commitments and recognize the rights of Venezuelans.
