During his General Audience in the Vatican, Pope Francis called upon the faithful to pray the Rosary and entrusted to Mary the wars and conflicts occurring in the Holy Land, Ukraine, and Myanmar. He emphasized the importance of rediscovering the value of praying the Rosary on May 8th, which is celebrated as Feast of Our Lady of Pompeii.

On this day, the Church raises prayers of supplication to Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii. The Holy Father invited everyone to invoke Mary’s intercession for peace in the world, especially in Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, and Myanmar. He also asked for special prayers for young people, sick people, elderly people present at his audience.

Before giving his Apostolic Blessing, Pope Francis urged everyone to pray the Rosary throughout May. As he said “Let us not forget that prayer is a powerful weapon that can bring about great change in our lives and in our world.”
