PepsiCo, Inc. has partnered with the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) to establish a joint academic and travel undergraduate hybrid scholarship through its Feeding Tomorrow Fund. This scholarship is worth $5,000 for the recipient’s academic studies and an additional $1,000 stipend for travel to attend the IFT FIRST: Annual Event and Expo.

At this event, the recipient will have access to the global science and food community, explore products and solutions, attend scientific sessions, and participate in exclusive networking opportunities. The recipient will also have access to PepsiCo Meet & Greets at the IFT Student Association (IFTSA) Student Lounge during IFT FIRST. This presents a unique opportunity for the recipient to connect with research and development professionals from PepsiCo who can provide insights on pursuing a career in R&D as well as valuable information on the company’s products, culture, and career opportunities.

Steve Hartley, Director of Fund Development at IFT expressed his excitement about this partnership with PepsiCo and said that it is a valuable opportunity for a passionate student to not only further their education but also engage with industry professionals and gain valuable insights at one of the science of food events.

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must demonstrate a commitment to food science, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, plan to enroll full or part-time as a rising sophomore, junior or senior in a food science program. The application deadline is March 29th.
