Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced movie mogul, has been rushed to a hospital in New York after experiencing various health issues. His lawyer Arthur Aidala confirmed that he is currently being examined at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan. In 2017, the ‘Me Too’ movement against Harvey Weinstein gained traction as individuals spoke out against incidents of sexual assault and harassment in work settings. Prominent figures like Alyssa Milano, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rose McGowan, and Ashley Judd were among the first to publicly accuse Weinstein of misconduct. The movement shedding light on the prevalence of such behavior sparked the #MeToo movement which has become a powerful force for change in society today.

Weinstein was initially sentenced to 16 years in prison by a Los Angeles judge for his crimes related to sexual misconduct involving several women. However, this conviction was later overturned by an appeals court in New York which led to another trial for Weinstein in the city. Despite this development, a spokesperson for the New York Department of Corrections confirmed that Weinstein is still in custody at Bellevue Hospital where he is undergoing medical treatment and evaluation.
