The Abilene business community gathered at the Abilena Convention Center for the Chamber of Commerce’s 40th annual Business Expo, excited by the prospect of swag and networking opportunities. Local businesses set up booths brimming with giveaways featuring their logos, in line with this year’s theme, “Business is Out of This World!”. UFO and alien decor, rocket ships and astronauts were seen throughout the exhibit hall and conference center.

The presenting sponsors, Optimum, Affordacare Urgent Care and Fat Matt Roofing, made a statement with their towering stacks of 5-gallon buckets filled with promotional items. Visitors eagerly collected candies, fly-swatters, chip-clips and keychains along with brochures and business cards in every color of the rainbow. The abundance of swag was a highlight for many attendees.

With more than 3,500 guests in attendance including exhibitors and guests at Business After Hours, the expo provided ample opportunities for networking. Over 160 exhibitors and 180 booth spaces were filled creating a bustling atmosphere as business owners employees and potential customers roamed the aisles. Conversations sparked connections were made old friendships rekindled amongst the sea of swag promotional materials.

As visitors navigated through the crowded event trying to balance their bags filled with giveaways one thing was clear: The Abilena business community had come together in celebration of entrepreneurship collaboration networking. The Business Expo was not just a place to collect freebies but a vibrant showcase of the thriving business landscape in Abilena.
