Oakdale Junior High School’s Science Olympiad team had a standout performance during the county-level competition, finishing in third place overall at the Stanislaus County Regional Olympiad. The team was led by several students who earned both team and individual awards in various events.

In the event “Can’t Judge a Powder,” Lillian McNamee and Melayah Mortazavi placed third, while Brenna Franca and Allison Spiller secured third place in “Code Busters.” Clair Lang excelled in “Disease Detectives,” earning a third place finish, and William Beckstand placed third in “Dynamic Planet.”

Kailin Wei and Dakota Radliff took second place in “Reach for the Stars,” while Reynaldo Rodriguez claimed fourth place in “Road Scholar.” Ximena Sanchez and Addisyn Martin placed fourth in “Meteorology,” while Liam Allen placed fourth in “Optics.”

Gradie Wright earned a fifth place finish in “Forestry,” and Addisyn Martin and Kailin Wei secured fourth place in “Fossils.” Brenna Franca and Kailin Wei took second place in “Fast Facts,” while Emmett Hunter and William Beckstand claimed fourth place in “Flight.”

Ximena Sanchez and Gradie Wright were victorious in “Wind Power,” earning a first place finish for their team. Overall, the Oakdale Junior High School Science Olympiad team had an impressive showing at the Stanislaus County Regional Olympiad.
