A group of high school students from the New Mexico Military Institute recently clinched a spot in the national Science Bowl competition after winning their regional contest. This marked the first time that NMMI students had participated in the event, and they were thrilled to have qualified for the next level.

During the competition, the team faced off against other high school students from southeastern New Mexico, with each round presenting unique challenges and questions that tested their knowledge across a range of subjects. The NMMI students initially struggled in the first round but managed to pull through and excelled in subsequent rounds, ultimately securing their victory.

While they are excited about moving on to the next level of the contest, the team remains uncertain about how they will perform. They hope to at least make it past the first round but are not setting any unrealistic expectations for themselves. The group is now preparing diligently for the upcoming competition in Washington D.C., where they will face off against 68 other teams from around the country. The Science Bowl will take place from April 25th to April 29th, and NMMI students are eagerly anticipating taking on this challenging task.
