The Cowboys underwent significant changes to their coaching staff during the offseason. They lost defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who was replaced by Mike Zimmer. Additionally, defensive line coach Aden Durde left to become the Seahawks’ defensive coordinator. However, the Cowboys recently announced their entire coaching staff for the 2024 season, including secondary coach Al Harris as the assistant head coach.

Harris is entering his fifth season with the Cowboys and expressed his excitement for his expanded role in a statement. He mentioned his commitment to helping the team achieve their goals of winning championships and contributing in any way possible. Head coach Mike McCarthy praised Harris for his leadership qualities and impact on the team and coaching staff.

The new coaches on the Cowboys’ 2024 coaching staff include Steve Shimko as Offensive Assistant/Quality Control, Paul Guenther as Defensive Run Game Coordinator, Jeff Zgonina as Defensive Line coach, Greg Ellis as Assistant Defensive Line/Quality Control, and Cristian Garcia as Assistant Defensive Backs/Quality Control.
