The Israeli operation in Rafah, a city in the southern Gaza Strip that has been targeted by Israel, is still ongoing despite international pressure. In a video statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that there is a planned date for Israeli forces to enter Rafah and eliminate terrorists in the area. He emphasized that victory over Hamas requires this operation in the southern city.

Netanyahu also discussed ongoing negotiations in Cairo and revealed that the Israeli security cabinet will meet earlier than usual to discuss hostage negotiations. Despite the troop withdrawal from southern Gaza, Herzi Halevi, Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, stressed that the military operation against Hamas is not over yet. Itamar Ben-Gvir, Minister of National Security, warned Netanyahu that he could risk losing his position as Prime Minister if he ends the war against Hamas without carrying out the military operation in Rafah.

The situation in Rafah continues to develop as efforts are being made to achieve victory over Hamas and secure the release of hostages. The Israeli government remains focused on its mission in Rafah and maintaining overall security in the region.
