David Pietrycha has been appointed as the new Chief Business Officer at NBCUniversal Media Group. In his new role, he will be responsible for working closely with division leadership on major resource allocation and investment decisions across NBCUniversal’s various businesses.

Pietrycha brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as the executive vice president of strategy and business development. He has also led strategy for major sports rights negotiations, including deals with the NFL, NASCAR, and WWE. Additionally, he has been involved in new business opportunities, distribution initiatives, NBC affiliate renewals, and key portfolio decisions across linear and streaming platforms.

Prior to his new appointment, Pietrycha served as the chief financial officer for NBC Sports Group, overseeing financial and strategic decisions for properties such as NBC Sports, NBC Olympics, NBCSN, Golf Channel, and other NBC Sports entities. He also held financial leadership roles within the NBC News Group and the NBC Owned Television stations division.

Mark Lazarus praised Pietrycha’s contributions to the organization and stated that his insight, relationships, and creativity will be essential in shaping the future of NBCUniversal’s television and streaming business model. The promotion reflects the company’s commitment to leveraging top talent and strategic thinking to drive continued growth and success in the industry.
