The NASA Advanced Supercomputing facility, located in California’s Silicon Valley, has been the site of cutting-edge research on the Sun’s corona. A team of researchers utilized the Aitken, Electra, and Pleiades supercomputers at this facility to develop a dynamic model of the corona.

This model was successful in predicting various features such as long streamers in the upper and lower left side of the image. However, upon closer examination, it was noticed that the streamers’ locations were slightly off when compared to actual images.
