Bartlesville High’s 2024 baseball season came to a close in the 6A Regionals with a challenging game against Union. Despite their best efforts, the Bruins were unable to match Union’s offensive strength and fell with a score of 6-1 in an elimination game.

Throughout the game, Bartlesville fought hard but struggled to keep up with Union’s scoring capabilities. The Redhawks scored three runs in the third inning and added single runs throughout the game, maintaining a lead over the Bruins. Bartlesville was only able to score one run in the sixth inning, with the bases loaded and one out.

Pitchers Kaden Romesburg and Grant Clark put up a valiant effort on the mound for Bartlesville, giving their team a chance to compete. Romesburg made crucial plays, including inducing a double play with the bases loaded in the third inning. Despite their efforts, Bartlesville ultimately fell short of advancing in the Regionals.

As the season comes to an end, Bartlesville will bid farewell to five graduating seniors but looks forward to the return of key pitchers and underclassmen in the lineup. The team finished the season with a record of 13-22, reflecting their hard work and dedication throughout
