“What Rhymes With Reason” is a faith-based film that delves into the topic of mental health in teenagers. Produced by Virgil Films and Reckless Abandonment Films, the production took place in Oklahoma in 2023 and is said to be a mix of The Goonies and The Breakfast Club.

The movie began streaming on Amazon on February 6, 2024, and quickly made its way to the Top 10 Faith Movies on the platform. It has also garnered numerous awards at film festivals, with highlights including winning Best Family and Children Film at the 2023 World Film Festival in Cannes.

Film director Kyle Roberts was moved to create the film when he discovered that suicide was the leading cause of death among teenagers. Joining us on the Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch, Roberts discusses the inspiration behind “What Rhymes With Reason.”

Kyle Roberts: “I wanted to create a film that would not only entertain but also educate people about mental health issues that teenagers face today. I believe that it’s important for parents, teachers, and friends to understand how they can help those who are struggling with their mental health.”
