Korey Ramon Grant Jr., a man from Roanoke Rapids, was arrested on Saturday for injury to personal property and other charges following an incident at a business on Highway 903 outside Halifax. According to reports, Grant had been present at the business with a firearm when he fired the weapon and struck a vehicle.

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, and Corporal G. Martin and his dog Loki located Grant at a nearby residence. Deputy K. Tillery then arrested and charged Grant with several offenses, including going armed to the terror of the public, injury to personal property, possessing a firearm as a felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and simple possession of a schedule VI substance.

Grant is currently being held in the Halifax County Detention Center without bond and is scheduled for a district court appearance on Tuesday.
