On April 7, Acton Academy Del Mar hosted its inaugural Children’s Business Fair at La Colonia Park in Solana Beach. The event brought together young entrepreneurs aged 6 to 14 to showcase their handcrafted products and organic treats. The cheery courtyard was buzzing with activity as 18 booths displayed a variety of unique creations, from home-baked cupcakes to beaded necklaces to healthy dog treats.

The fair was a celebration of young entrepreneurship and innovation, and it left a lasting impression on all who attended. Students from Acton Academy and members of the community with an entrepreneurial spirit came together to bring their creative visions to life in this one-day business marketplace. The diverse range of offerings included flourless chocolate cupcakes, a homemade “Joy Spread” made with roasted hazelnuts and dates, sunflower butter snacks, crocheted dolls’ clothing, beaded necklaces, healthy dog treats, and hand-painted miniature sculptures.

The event was a success, with attendees enjoying the opportunity to support young entrepreneurs and shop for one-of-a-kind products. It provided a platform for children to showcase their talents, creativity, and business acumen while also learning valuable skills in marketing, sales, and customer service. Overall, the Children’s Business Fair was a fun and engaging way for children to explore their passion for entrepreneurship and innovation.
