The baseball teams of Jefferson City and Blair Oaks had successful games on their home fields on Tuesday night. The Jays were able to secure a thrilling victory over Tolton with a score of 19-18, while the Falcons dominated Hallsville in just five innings with a final score of 11-1.

The game between Jefferson City and Tolton was closely contested as the Trailblazers took an early 8-2 lead which could have posed a challenge for the Jays. However, Jefferson City came back strong in the third inning, scoring seven runs to take the lead at 9-8. The teams continued to go back and forth in scoring until the bottom of the sixth inning, where the game saw its first scoreless half inning. Despite Tolton briefly taking a 13-9 lead, including a run scored on a steal of home, Jefferson City remained unfazed and ultimately won the game 19-18.

On the other hand, Blair Oaks had a more controlled game from the start. After falling behind 1-0 in the second inning, the Falcons quickly responded by scoring six runs to take a comfortable 6-1 lead. They continued to dominate and only needed five innings to secure the victory over Hallsville with a final score of 11-1.

Jefferson City is scheduled to play at Troy Buchanan on Saturday, while Tolton will face off against Southern Boone on Thursday. Blair Oaks will play at Rolla on Wednesday, and Hallsville will participate in the Class 4 District 8 Tournament against Centralia next Monday.
