Ivy Tech Community College has recently unveiled a new biopharmaceutical lab to give students hands-on learning experiences. The Biopharma Science & Technology Lab is located in the Illinois Fall Creek Center at 2535 N. Capitol Ave, just north of downtown Indianapolis. This new facility aims to support and enhance careers in biopharmaceutical manufacturing by offering customized education and training opportunities.

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Stacy Atkinson, Chancellor of Ivy Tech, expressed her pride and excitement for the new lab. She emphasized the lab’s role as a center for opportunity for Ivy Tech students, who will be future employees in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Atkinson highlighted the college’s dedication to providing top-quality education and hands-on experience to help students succeed in this industry.

The new lab is part of a $15 million investment in Ivy Tech Community College by Eli Lilly and Co., scheduled to continue through 2028. This partnership between the pharmaceutical company and the college system demonstrates a commitment to advancing education and training in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The state-of-the-art lab represents a significant step in providing students with the resources and support needed to excel in this dynamic field.
