In the upcoming meeting of the South Windsor Planning and Zoning Commission, a site plan modification proposal is on the agenda. The modification seeks to allow for the establishment of a new pizza restaurant at Evergreen Walk, which could potentially lead to the opening of a new location for Sally’s Apizza. The document filed by O’Evergreen LLC, the owner/applicant, includes a reference to Sally’s Apizza in the plan that was previously approved by the PZC in October.

Sally’s Apizza, known as one of “The Holy Trinity” of New Haven pizzerias alongside Frank Pepe’s and Modern Apizza, has been serving delicious pizza since its founding by Salvatore “Sally” Consiglio in 1938. The pizzeria has been frequented by world-renowned celebrities and has been featured in numerous publications. Known for its distinctive sauce, chewy crust, and iconic oven-kissed char, Sally’s Apizza continues to attract pizza lovers from near and far.

While a representative for Sally’s has yet to confirm the possibility of a new location in South Windsor, the pizzeria’s website lists Manchester among its “target Northeast development markets.” Evergreen Walk, where the new restaurant is proposed, is located just steps away from the Manchester town line. The site plan approved last fall for Evergreen Walk includes not only the potential new location for Sally’s Apizza but also a Chipotle and a Starbucks. Construction is already underway on all three buildings, signaling exciting developments for the area’s dining scene.
