A recent interview with Special Report with Bret Baier revealed the Washington Examiner’s Byron York discussing President Joe Biden’s struggle to connect with the public on economic issues. York pointed out that while Biden’s rhetoric on the economy is not resonating with people, they are still grappling with rising food and housing prices, as well as housing scarcity. These are fundamental needs that everyone must have, and the current situation is making people feel bad.

York’s comments were in response to new data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis which reported that inflation rose to a 2.5% annual rate in February, slightly up from the previous reading. This indicates that Americans are still facing economic challenges and that these challenges are not improving. In fact, recent polling by Fox News showed that most people do not feel any better off today than they did four years ago.

Despite Biden’s efforts to address these concerns, York emphasized that people are still feeling the impact of economic hardships. The disconnect between Biden’s rhetoric and the lived experiences of Americans is a major challenge that he will need to overcome in order to build support for his economic agenda.
