Wu Bing, a successful businessman from Nantong, China, faced a personal crisis that led him to seek solace in a Buddhist temple. Following his divorce, he made the decision to become a monk and sold his factory. However, his peace was short-lived when he encountered pregnant women facing difficult situations at the temple. Many of these women were abandoned by their partners and lacked financial support.

Despite initially being unprepared for this reality, Wu decided to help these women by providing shelter, prenatal care, and support throughout their pregnancies. The temple soon became a refuge for many pregnant women and newborns. As word spread about Wu’s shelter, more women began to seek his help, leading the temple’s abbot to ask him to find a new location for his shelter.

Wu relocated to a villa in Zhejiang province and established the Protective Dwelling. With the help of social media and donations, he was able to support more women in need and raise awareness about their situation. Through his online presence and charitable efforts, Wu has helped over 600 single women facing pregnancy without support. His story has gained recognition in the Chinese media, inspiring others to volunteer and offer assistance. Despite the challenges he has faced, Wu remains dedicated to helping those in need and providing a safe haven for vulnerable pregnant women.
