Desirée G. Rogers, a former White House Social Secretary and CEO of cosmetics company Black Opal LLC, has been announced as the keynote speaker for the Harvard Business School Class Day. The event is scheduled for May 22, the day before the University-wide Commencement ceremonies.

Rogers, a graduate of Wellesley College and Harvard Business School, served as the White House Social Secretary during the Obama administration, where she worked to open the White House to a wider circle. During her tenure with the Obama administration, Rogers played a key role in planning and executing official social events. After leaving the White House, she became the CEO of Johnson Publishing Company, overseeing publications like Ebony and Jet. Currently, in addition to her role at Black Opal, Rogers serves on multiple boards and is involved with various charitable organizations.
