Yesterday, five stocks stood out as the top gainers on the S&P 500 index. These were Super Micro Computer (SMCI), Micron Technology (MU), Constellation Energy (CEG), Dexcom (DXCM) and Moderna (MRNA).

Super Micro stock saw a significant increase of 7.2%, reaching 1,042.79 and surpassing the 21-day line and the 1,000 mark. This AI server maker uses chips from Nvidia (NVDA) and other companies. SMCI stock has been a top performer in the S&P 500, having surged an impressive 267.3% in 2024. The Nvidia partner joined the S&P 500 before the open on March 18, experiencing a decline of 9% in its first week. However, Super Micro is currently on the IBD Big Cap 20 list.

Micron stock also experienced a rise of 6.2% to reach a new high of 117.04, continuing its strong momentum from last week due to surprise profits and optimistic guidance related to AI trends. The memory-chip giant is now up an astonishing 37.25% in 2024, ranking sixth in the S&P
