The Da Vinci Science Center, a highly anticipated new addition to the PPL Pavilion in downtown Allentown, is set to open on May 22. Replacing the current facility on Cedar Crest College’s campus, this state-of-the-art 67,000 square-foot science education facility will offer visitors an exciting array of new exhibits.

The first exhibit, Dinos Alive, will feature 30 life-sized animated dinosaurs, offering visitors an immersive experience from turkey-sized Velociraptors to the mighty T-rex. This exhibit is just one of many interactive experiences that the Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion will offer to visitors of all ages. Visitors can explore the inner workings of the human body in the LVHN My Body exhibit or up-close encounters with North American River Otters in the Pocono Ravine.

In addition to the exhibit galleries, this premier science center in the Lehigh Valley will also offer amenities such as fully equipped classrooms, cutting-edge laboratories, and interactive workshops to spark creativity. There will also be a rooftop terrace available for private events.

“Our vision for a world-class science center would not have come to fruition without strong support from everyone in the Lehigh Valley and beyond,” said Lin Erickson, executive director and CEO of the Da Vinci Science Center at PPL Pavilion. With its mission to bring science to life and lives to science, this new science center aims to immerse visitors in unique experiences inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s insatiable curiosity.
