Independent school Science & Arts Academy (SAA) in Des Plaines is hosting an in-person event on Thursday, May 9 for prospective parents. The event, which begins at 9 a.m., is designed to provide educational options for gifted children’s families.

Director of Enrollment Mindy Hildebrandt and Dr. Ama Thompson, the director of Assessment, Curriculum, and Instruction, will be giving talks during the event. Prospective parents will have the chance to learn about how SAA caters to the unique needs of gifted students within its environment. They will also get insights into SAA’s approach to gifted education and see differentiation in action during a school tour.

Hildebrandt encourages all prospective parents to attend this event as it provides an opportunity to experience Science & Arts Academy in person. By visiting the school, parents can witness firsthand the teaching and learning methods used by SAA, meet students and hear from other families about their experiences with the school.

Families interested in attending this event should register on SAA’s website at scienceandartsacademy.org/events for more information about how gifted children thrive at Science & Arts Academy.
