Florida State University’s Information Technology Services (ITS) held its annual Spring Town Hall on April 9 from 1-4 p.m. at the Turnbull Conference Center. This year, the event featured the ITS Seminole Showcase, a half-day conference focusing on innovation and providing a look into the department’s vision and future projects.

Jonathan Fozard, the associate vice president and chief information officer of ITS, expressed excitement about sharing the cutting-edge projects happening at FSU and inspiring others to create future technology advancements. The conference was divided into three 50-minute blocks with panelists at the forefront of their fields discussing topics such as generative artificial intelligence and immersive media. The presentations were organized into different tracks, including Technical, AI, Department/Project, User-Centered, and Innovation/Emerging Technology.

The event also included poster sessions presented by ITS student interns, showcasing their work and contributions to the department. The event was free and open to the Florida State University community, providing an opportunity for attendees to learn about the latest technology trends and initiatives at FSU.
