Tina Hueppe, CEO and President of Marshall Wolf Automation Inc., an industrial automation distributor based in Algonquin, Illinois, recently announced the company’s national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) and certified member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). This certification is considered the gold standard for women-owned businesses in the United States and signifies a commitment to diversity and empowerment in the business world.

The WBENC certification process involves a rigorous review of the business, including a site inspection, to ensure that the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by women. This certification demonstrates a commitment to supplier diversity programs by corporations and government agencies, leading to a more balanced and sustainable economy.

Hueppe emphasized the importance of this certification for Marshall Wolf Automation. “Being a member of WBENC means more than just being a women-owned business,” she said. “We are an innovative and value-driven organization that provides technology solutions to the US Manufacturing segment with the unique perspective of being owned and led by women.” Hueppe also actively promotes women in technical fields through her role as chair of the Women in Automation committee.

By becoming certified members of WBENC, Marshall Wolf Automation gains access to a network of opportunities for professional development and engagement. These opportunities include events, programming, and connections that can help the business grow and expand. This certification opens up new avenues for women-owned businesses to thrive and succeed in the competitive business landscape.
