In Detroit, the NFL draft took place recently and the Eagles made nine new player selections to join their team. The Eagles are not stopping there as they will also be signing some undrafted players to complete their roster. On Monday, the team made some roster moves to create space for these newcomers.
According to the NFL’s daily transaction report, four players were waived by the Eagles: defensive tackle Noah Elliss, wide receiver Griffin Hebert, defensive back Tiawan Mullen, and offensive lineman Lecitus Smith. Out of these four players, only Smith has regular season experience as he played in 10 games and made two starts for the Cardinals in 2022. Although he hasn’t played for the Eagles yet, his previous experience in the league could be valuable.
The Eagles will host their rookie minicamp this weekend, providing an opportunity for the coaching staff to work with this year’s rookie class. It is possible that more roster moves will be made after the minicamp as the team evaluates the new additions to their roster. The Eagles are excited about their new talent and are looking forward to seeing how they perform on the field.
