Carlo Martuscelli was previously a health care journalist for Politico, but has recently shifted his focus to the European economy. Prior to this role, Martuscelli worked at a media startup that specialized in financial technology and wrote for Dow Jones and the Wall Street Journal. He launched his journalism career by contributing to a local London paper, and holds a bachelor’s degree in European social and political studies from University College London, where he concentrated on Russian and philosophy.
On the other hand, Chris Roush served as the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut before becoming the Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. Roush has a background in business journalism and has worked for several major news outlets including Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune, and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is also an accomplished author, having written several books including “Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication” and “Thinking Things Over,” a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
