On April 9, 28 students from preschool, elementary school, and junior high school in To Hap town, Khanh Son district, experienced vomiting and stomach pain after eating rice rolls and rice balls sold by Mrs. Bui Thi Luong in front of the school. The Department of Health is currently treating the students and conducting tests on the food and medical samples to identify the cause of the poisoning. Most of the students are now in stable condition after receiving treatment.

This incident marks the fourth mass poisoning in Khanh Hoa in just over a month, with three cases involving student victims. In a recent incident, 37 students in Vinh Truong ward, Nha Trang city, were poisoned after consuming various foods for breakfast. A female student lost her life in this incident. Additionally, previous cases of poisoning have occurred in the region, including suspected contamination at a chicken rice restaurant and another incident involving students at a school gate.

Authorities are actively investigating the series of poisoning cases in Khanh Hoa but have not yet determined the cause behind these incidents. To address food safety concerns, a team has been established to inspect food businesses in the area.
