As a charter school in Tulsa, Dove Science Academy is undergoing a major technological upgrade to its internet capabilities. The school will become the first Pre-K through 12th grade institution in the United States to implement WiFi 7 technology. This change comes at a time when Dove Schools are remodeling their new facility to accommodate the merging of Dove High School next year.

Dove Science Academy currently has nearly 1,000 students using Chromebooks on campus, so having a reliable and high-bandwidth network is crucial. With this new technology, students will be able to upload and download files faster and experience improved connectivity both indoors and outdoors.

According to John Franklin, Dove Science Academy is committed to advancing STEM education by ensuring their students have access to the latest technology. By future-proofing their infrastructure with WiFi 7, they aim to prepare students for the demands of the workforce, particularly in fields like computer science and coding.

The installation of WiFi 7 at the campus is expected to be completed by the 2024-2025 school year, reflecting Dove Science Academy’s dedication to providing their students with the tools and resources necessary to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
