The Korean Federation secured its third world medal at the BKT World Women’s Curling Championship with Gim Eunji’s double takeout that scored three points against Italy in the final end. This marked the first world medal for Gim herself, who led Korea to a 6-3 victory.

In the second end, Italy’s skip Stefania Constantini opened scoring with a delicate tap-back, securing one point. Following an initial blank end, Korea attempted to hit and stay for two points in the fourth end but managed only to secure a single point. In the fifth end, Constantini scored another single point with a draw, taking Italy’s lead at 2-1.

Korea made a breakthrough in the sixth end when Gim played a draw to score two points and take the lead for the first time at 3-2. However, Italy blanked the seventh end and leveled the game at 3-3 in the eighth when Constantini played a raised shot. After another blank end in the ninth, Gim executed a double in the tenth end to secure Korea’s 6-3 victory.
