Janet Martinez and Clara Monroe have relocated their small business, JCM Counseling, right after their facility was destroyed. It is a day that is tough for them to overlook.

The females had been each in therapy sessions with customers when the storm hit.
“The alarms began going off and she (Janet) was like, ‘Clara we require to go,’” Monroe mentioned.
The group discovered shelter in the workplace bathroom.
The harm they found when they walked out was devastating.
“It looked like a bomb had went off,” Monroe explained.
In beneath a minute, the twister changed their lives.
They lost just about anything. To bounce back, the counselors have practiced what they preach.
“I have employed all the techniques that I propose for my customers. I’ve performed my personal therapy with my therapist, Kayla,” Janet mentioned.
There have been some challenging moments.

The two have also discovered some lessons. They didn’t have insurance coverage when the tornado occurred.
“I got myself some life insurance coverage and some insurance coverage for the workplace straight away right after that,” Martinez mentioned,
Martinez and Monroe employed their personal income to replace most of what they lost. They also received donations from the neighborhood and some monetary loans. On March five, the two moved into their new workplace down the street from their initially place on Center Street in Deer Park. There’s additional furnishings that will have to be added and new supplies that will have to be purchased, but they say factors are having much better.
“I enjoy the new space. I enjoy anything about it, but it will take time for it to really feel like dwelling once more,” Martinez mentioned.
The two counselors know from their experienced knowledge that brighter days are ahead.
“I would like individuals to know that all of us have the potential to recover. There is often hope. I just can’t wait to see exactly where the future requires us,” Martinez mentioned.
Martinez and Monroe say they are nonetheless waiting and hoping for state or federal help.
