In the early hours of Thursday morning, a robbery crew targeted several coffee shops and gas stations in Chicago. Within 45 minutes, they stole cash from multiple businesses, leaving at least one business in the West Loop closed for the day. Fortunately, no one was injured during the robberies.

The first incident occurred at a Dunkin’ Donuts on Washington Blvd., where cash was taken from the registers and an individual inside. This was just one of several robberies that occurred within a half-hour timeframe. The crew then hit a Starbucks near the Ogilvie Transportation Center, breaking in and stealing proceeds before the business was closed for the day.

Other businesses that were targeted included additional Dunkin’ Donuts locations in various parts of the city as well as a convenience store in North Center. Each robbery followed a similar pattern, with a crew of four or five men using a silver Nissan sedan as a getaway vehicle. The robbers were armed, wearing face masks, medical gloves, jeans, and hoodies.

Despite the police response to the incidents, no arrests had been made by reporting time. Detectives urged anyone with information on the robberies to come forward and provide details to help solve the case. Additionally, businesses were reminded to ensure their surveillance cameras were in working order to aid in identifying suspects involved in these crimes.
