FC Dallas’ four-game losing streak came to an end as they were defeated 2-1 by Austin FC on Saturday night. Julio Cascante and Diego Rubio scored the goals for Austin, leading them to victory.

Rubio found the back of the net in the 70th minute with his second goal of the season, leaving Dallas struggling to keep up. Sebastián Driussi provided a perfectly placed pass that allowed Rubio to head the ball home from close range.

Dallas had taken a brief lead earlier in the second half when Eugene Ansah scored in the 51st minute. However, Cascante quickly equalized for Austin just two minutes later with a well-placed header that beat the Dallas goalkeeper.

Throughout the game, Austin dominated possession with 65% of the ball and outshot Dallas 16-7. Both goalkeepers, Stuver and Paes, made three saves each during the match.

The loss was a disappointing setback for FC Dallas, who now have a record of 0-4-3. On the other hand, Austin FC’s win improved their record to 2-2-2.
