The EU compiles reports specifically for sectors in China to assist European companies in filing complaints about dumping, which is the sale of products at prices lower than production costs. The European Commission conducts investigations into suspected dumping, with a focus on sectors like wood products, in order to protect European companies from cheap imports from China. If a investigation determines that Chinese products are being sold at artificially low prices, the EU may impose anti-dumping duties.
