The Chiefs have officially traded former cornerback L’Jarius Sneed to the Tennessee Titans. In exchange, the Titans sent their 2025 third-round draft pick and a seventh-round pick in this year’s draft to the Chiefs.

The decision to trade Sneed was made by the Chiefs, who opted to receive compensation for him rather than allowing him to walk in free agency. By tagging and trading Sneed, the Chiefs were able to secure a higher pick in the 2025 third round as well as move up in this year’s seventh round.

Sneed joined the Chiefs as a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft and has been a key player for the team over the last three years. He has been praised for his ability to cover opposing receivers and make big plays on defense. The Titans are expected to sign Sneed to a four-year, $76 million contract, viewing him as a long-term starter in Tennessee.
