In the world of high school sports, the Hollidaysburg Area High School boys tennis team is currently undefeated at 5-0 after a close match against Altoona. The Golden Tigers emerged victorious with a score of 3-2, despite Altoona’s best efforts. The singles win came from Luke Mitchell, while the doubles team of Aiden Aiken and Avery Lanzendorfer also contributed to Altoona’s success.

Meanwhile, in baseball news, Central defeated Penns Valley 19-9 in six innings. Mason Byler earned the win in relief and struck out four, while Jay Hoenstine had three hits and four RBIs. Troy McNichol added three hits and three RBIs, Griffin Snowberger chipped in with three hits and two RBIs, and Britton Marko contributed two hits and three RBIs to lead the Dragon offense.

Central scored 19 runs on 11 hits, while Penns Valley managed nine runs on seven hits. Central’s offensive prowess was evident from multiple players, including Hoenstine, McNichol, and Snowberger. This victory improved Central’s record to 2-0, while Penns Valley fell to 1-3.
