Evanston Township High School is thrilled to announce an Evening of Appreciation, celebrating the grand opening of the long-awaited Health Science Center. This new facility opened to students last month and was entirely funded by over $800,000 in private support from alumni and community partners. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, and will feature a short program followed by a complimentary reception and tours of the educational center.

Guests at the event will have the opportunity to explore the Health Science Center, learn about the certification courses and career exposure it offers, and experience firsthand how it will benefit students. From immersive lab experiences to specialized healthcare pathways, the facility represents a significant advancement in providing students with the necessary skills and knowledge for success in the healthcare field.

In addition to touring the Health Science Center, attendees can visit the Literacy Lab, which was established in 2020 thanks to generous donors. This innovative space underscores the school’s dedication to providing support systems for students with emerging literacy needs.

The highlight of the evening will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Health Science Center, a cutting-edge facility that showcases a simulated hospital setting with 5 patient bed set-ups and high-quality medical equipment. This center will support teaching nursing skills and patient care, acting as a springboard for students pursuing careers in healthcare.

To attend this exciting event, please RSVP by April 12.
