Atlantic Union Bank will continue to operate its branch at 202 S. Jefferson St. in downtown Roanoke following a merger with American National Bank & Trust of Danville. The branch on the downtown Roanoke intersection will retain its banking services and will be rebranded under the Atlantic Union name by the end of May. This merger will see Atlantic join American National as one of the top banks in the Roanoke Valley based on market share deposits. While American National ranks fourth locally based on market share deposits, Atlantic is currently ranked second in the New River Valley region where it is headquartered.
