Kyle, Texas is set to host a unique event on May 18 at the Kyle Fair. The goal of this gathering is to break the Guinness World Record for the most people named Kyle within city limits. The event is open to anyone with the first name “Kyle” spelled exactly as it appears on their birth certificate.

To participate in this record-breaking attempt, participants must register online or in person at the Kyle Fair. Proof of a first name “Kyle” will be required. Variations of the name, such as Kyler or Kyal, will not be accepted. Middle names, last names, and nicknames also do not qualify for participation.

City officials are hoping to surpass last year’s “Gathering of the Kyles” event held in Kyle, Texas which brought together 1,490 participants from across the country. They are looking forward to breaking the current record held in Bosnia where 2,325 individuals named Ivan gathered in 2017.

The Kyle Fair A Tex-Travaganza will run from May 17-19 at Lake Kyle Park and will feature live music, food trucks, margarita judging, rib judging and other activities. Admission to the fair is free for all attendees making it a great opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate their shared name!
