Noah Lyles and Gabby Thomas are among the standout athletes leading the 28-member USA Track and Field roster for the World Athletics Relays, scheduled to take place in the Bahamas on May 4-5. The top 14 nations in the men’s and women’s 4x100m and 4x400m, as well as the mixed-gender 4x400m, at the World Relays will qualify for the Paris Olympics. Following this, the top two nations per event that have not yet qualified will earn the last spots based on world rankings on June 30th.
Noah Lyles made history last August by becoming the first sprinter to sweep world titles in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m since Usain Bolt in 2015. He played a crucial role in anchoring the U.S. men’s 4x100m relay team to a gold medal. Lyles is set to compete in the men’s 4x100m pool at the World Relays alongside Olympic silver medalist Kenny Bednarek, among other talented athletes.
Gabby Thomas and Tamari Davis were part of the world championship-winning relay team in August and are included in the women’s pool for the World Relays. Thomas also secured a silver medal in
