Rebeca Andrade, Brazil’s most decorated gymnast, is set to make her Olympic season debut at the World Challenge Cup in Antalya, Turkey on Friday, March 29. The 24-year-old will be competing on the uneven bars as she prepares for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Andrade has been making history in the sport following her success at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games where she won vault gold and all-around silver. She has achieved numerous accolades including a 2022 World all-around gold, Brazil’s first World team medal, and a five-medal haul at the 2023 Worlds.

In Antalya, Andrade will be joined by other top gymnasts such as Sanne Wevers, who won balance beam gold at the 2016 Olympics and is currently studying physics at Stanford University. Melanie de Jesus dos Santos, who won bronze on uneven bars at the world championships in Qatar in 2019 and Kaylia Nemour, who won uneven bars silver at the world championships in Doha in 2018 are also set to compete.

On the men’s side of things, Ferhat Arican will be competing alongside his teammates Ibrahim Colak and Adem Asil. Colak won still rings gold at the world championships in Qatar in 2019 while Asil won still rings gold at the world championships in Doha in 2021. The competition promises to be an exciting event with top gymnasts from around the world showcasing their skills on an international stage.
