Mark Pope, the new head coach of Kentucky’s basketball team, has his hands full as he works to build a roster from scratch and fill out his coaching staff. Recently, the team welcomed Amari Williams for an official visit, bringing them one step closer to potentially adding him to their roster. During Williams’ visit, Pope took the opportunity to speak with TVG at Keeneland, expressing his excitement about returning to his alma mater and getting to work on recruiting new players.

Despite being unsure of what he is allowed to discuss, Pope is focused on the task at hand and is eager to continue working on recruiting efforts. If Williams commits to joining the team, he would become the third scholarship player on the roster alongside Collin Chandler and Travis Perry. The team is putting in a lot of effort to secure Williams’ commitment, with the trip to Keeneland serving as an additional incentive for him to choose Kentucky.
